This year’s slow economy is forcing retailers to put up some aggressive Cyber Monday specials, but those don’t compare to the Black Friday doorbusters Target is enticing shoppers with. In the hopes of attracting the early morning Black Friday shoppers this year, Target is offering $3 toaster and coffeemakers.
$3 toaster. That’s an unbeatable deal. But is it such a good deal that you’re willing to get up at 4 A.M. stand in the freezing cold only to have ‘the chance’ to buy one of five wonderful $3 dollar Black Friday toasters? It’s a Three. Dollar. Toaster. How long do you think it will take before melts into a puddle of plastic? Do you really trust something that costs less than a king-size Snickers to heat your food?
Don’t be fooled by the Black Friday madness. Enjoy your four-day weekend – you can catch all the great Cyber Monday specials at work. For instance, if use sign up for a free month of Amazon Prime, you can access free two-day shipping for any purchase. No minimum order size or price.
Amazon sells awesome toasters like this Back to Basics TEM500 Egg-and-Muffin 2-Slice Toaster and Egg Poacher. Eat your heart out $3 piece-of-crap Target toaster. What do you have, a dimmer switch? This bad boy cooks a freakin’ egg while it toasts. That’s futuristic Jetsons’ tech.
Some of those Black Friday Specials sound too good to be true – because they are. No cheap toaster or coffeepot is worth the lost holiday sleep. Enjoy the weekend, and let the amazing Cyber Monday specials take care of your holiday shopping for you.

Yeah, I don’t think it is worth standing in the cold for a $3 toaster, but I think I will have to add the mega toaster you mentioned to my wish list. Awesome!
One other thing, you don’t even have to wait until Cyber Monday for good online deals. A few years ago I was able to get a nice flat panel HDTV from Circuit City on Thanksgiving Day. Back when they still had brick and mortar stores, they were offering their Black Friday deals online on Thanksgiving. I loved it! Not only did I order the TV, but when I got back in town on Sunday, it was already waiting for me.
